"9 PM (Till I Come)" is a song by German electronic dance music producer ATB, featuring vocals by Yolanda Rivera released as his debut single and the lead single from his debut album Movin' Melodies (1999).[2]

Critical reception

Daily Record commented, "Open a window in your house, stop at the traffic lights or go on holiday - you hear this tune. A massive dance anthem with sexy lyrics and a soaring synthesiser hook."[3] They also wrote, "Summer has never sounded so good with the Spanish-guitar hook in this song. It will forever remind you of the last summer of the millennium."[4]

Chart performance

"9 PM (Till I Come)" peaked at number 14 on the German Singles Chart. Internationally, the song was also successful. The single entered at number one in the United Kingdom for the week ending 3 July 1999 becoming the first trance song to top the UK charts, and stayed there for two weeks,[5] becoming the country's fifth best-selling single of 1999.[6] As of July 2014, it has sold over 890,000 copies in the UK.[7] The song was also number one in the Republic of Ireland for four consecutive weeks. It reached number three in Denmark, Italy, and Norway, number five in Flanders, and number ten in Australia.

In 2021, a remake of "9 PM (Till I Come)" by ATB, German producer Topic and Swedish singer Alexander 'A7S' Tidebrink was released on Positiva Records. The record charted in Germany and on the UK Official Charts Company Top 75 singles chart (reaching the number 42 position on 05 February 2021).[41][42][43][44]
