AIFF Futsal Club Championship

The AIFF Futsal Club Championship is the current annual futsal club competition of India hosted by the All India Football Federation (AIFF).[1]

Not to be confused with Asian Premier Futsal Championship.

2020 AIFF Futsal Club Championship will be the inaugural edition of the championship which is expected to be organised in Shillong by Meghalaya Football Association.[2][3]

History and format

On 10 December 2019, the AIFF Executive Committee decided that Futsal club completion will be a part of the AIFF competition calendar from 2020 season onwards.[1] The AIFF invited the clubs playing Indian Super League, I-League and I-League 2nd Division to participate in the inaugural season. The teams will be consisted of senior, reserve and under 18 players of the respective clubs.[2][4] The inaugural championship was originally planned to be held in July–August but due to COVID-19 pandemic, the championship will be postponed until further notice.[4]
