Club career
Basit played at Carpi and Napoli on youth level, before he signed to third-tier club Arezzo on the summer of 2018.[1] He made his professional debut in the first round of 2018–19 season on 16 September 2018 against Lucchese, playing 90 minutes.[2]
On 2 September 2019, he signed a 3-year contract with the Serie B side Benevento.[3]
