Abdelrahman Elgamal

Abdelrahman Elgamal (Arabic: عبد الرحمن الجمل, born (1999-02-21)21 February 1999) is an Egyptian-born Turkish male artistic gymnast and part of the national team.[1] He participated at the 2020 European Men's Artistic Gymnastics Championships in Mersin, Turkey, and won the silver medal in the team event.[2]

Abdelrahman Elgamal was born in Alexandria, Egypt on (1999-02-21)21 February 1999.[1]

A member of the Egyptian national team, Elgamal took part in the Internationaux de France or Paris World Challenge Cup in France and Varna World Challenge Cup in Bulgaria of the 2017 FIG Artistic Gymnastics World Cup series, as well as at the 2017 World Artistic Gymnastics Championships in Montreal, Canada.[1]

In 2017, he moved to Turkey leaving his parents in Egypt. He continued with trainings in Turkey, and applied for Turkish citizenship. After naturalization, he competed for Turkey the first time at the 2020 FIG Artistic Gymnastics World Cup series in Baku, Azerbaycan in the Floor Exercise event.[1] He won the silver medal in the Team event at the 2020 European Men's Artistic Gymnastics Championships in Mersin, Turkey although suffered an injury.[2]
