Adrian Mara

Adrian Mara, sometimes Rickson is used as a last name (born 1 August 1998), is a Solomon Islands footballer who plays as a forward for Kossa in the Telekom S-League and the Solomon Islands national football team.

Club

Mara started his career at the same club where he made his debut: Real Kakamora. He became known in the Solomon Islands when he won the golden boot in the 2015-16 Telekom U19 S-League. After this season, in 2016, he was drafted into the first team and soon he became a regular in the starting line up.

In 2019 he moved to Kossa

International

Mara was called up for the Solomon Islands national football team by Spanish head coach Felipe Vega-Arango for the 2017 Pacific Mini Games from 2 to 15 December. He made his debut on 2 December 2017 in an 8-0 victory over Tonga national football team. Mara replaced Benjamin Totori in the 70th minute and scoring two goals in the 71 minute and the 88 minute of play.[1][2]

He took part of Solomon Islands U23 squad for 2019 OFC Men's Olympic Qualifying Tournament scoring three goals helping Solomon Islands to reach the final against New Zealand. Unfortunately he got injured and did not play the final match.
