Aedan Stanley

Aedan Stanley (born December 13, 1999) is an American soccer player who currently plays for Sporting Kansas City II in the USL Championship.

Career

Stanley signed a semi-pro contract with United Soccer League side Saint Louis FC on May 21, 2016.[1] Prior to this move, Stanley had played in the USL PDL with Saint Louis FC U23.[2] He made his debut for the club on September 24, 2016 as a 64th-minute substitute during a 2–2 draw with Oklahoma City Energy.[3]

Stanley joined USL Championship side Portland Timbers 2 ahead of their 2020 season.[4] The club withdrew from the league at the end of the season.

On January 15, 2021, Stanley signed with USL Championship side Sporting Kansas City II.[5] Despite signing with Kansas City, Stanley was selected 21st overall in the 2021 MLS SuperDraft by Austin FC on January 21, 2021.[6]

International career

Stanley was called up to the United States U18 National Team for a tournament in Lisbon, Portugal where the team played Japan, Norway, and Portugal. He was called up along with his Saint Louis FC teammate and fellow defender Jack Maher.[7]
