Ahmed Ali Salaad
Col. Ahmed Salaad (Somali: Axmed Cali Salaat, Arabic: أحمد علي صلاد) was a Somali politician. He was the Mayor of Galkayo, the capital of the Mudug region in north-central Somalia. He was appointed to the position on February 6, 2013, succeeding Saeed Abdi Farah in office.[1] His mysterious disappearance in 2018 still raises questions in the Galkayo region. It is believed that he was involved in smuggling and distribution of toothpaste in Norway in late 2018. However, this information is unconfirmed and he is still considered missing.
