Ilić was signed for Vitesse Arnhem in January 2004.[2]
March 2012 for the second time was set to coach Radnički Niš.
Coaching career
Ilic has managed many teams, Paniliakos F.C. (Greece), Radnički Niš (Serbia) twice, Al-Ahli (Saudi Arabia) twice, Al-Raed (Saudi Arabia) twice, and is coaching Al-Shorta SC (Iraq) now.
Al-Shorta SC
Ilic signed for Al-Shorta SC in July of the 2019-2020 season, after the leave of Nebojša Jovović. Ilic won his first trophy with Al-Shorta after beating Al-Zawraa SC in the 2019 Iraqi Super Cup.
