Alison H. Clarkson

Alison H. Clarkson (born April 26, 1955) is a Democratic American politician. She has served in the Vermont Senate from the Windsor district since 2017. Clarkson is the Senate Majority Leader.[1] She previously served in the Vermont House of Representatives from the Windsor 5 district from 2005 to 2017.[2][3]

Personal life

Clarkson is married to Oliver R. Goodenough, with whom she has two sons, Ward and William.[4]

Clarkson lives in Woodstock, Vermont. She earned her bachelor's degree from Harvard College.[4]

State Senator

Clarkson serves as Vice Chair of the Senate Committee on Economic Development, Housing and General Affairs; as Clerk of the Senate Committee on Government Operations; and as a member of the State Workforce Development Board.[4] She is also a member of the Senate Sexual Harassment Panel and the Legislative Committee on Judicial Rules.[4]
