Alwyn Jones (athlete)

Alwyn Jones (born 28 February 1985) is an Australian triple jumper.

Jones was born in Australia.[1][2][3] He attended Victoria University.[4]

He finished fifth at the 2004 World Junior Championships, won the bronze medal at the 2006 Commonwealth Games and finished eighth at the 2006 World Cup.[5] Jones is also a nine-time national champion.[6]

His personal best is 16.83 metres, achieved when he won the 2009 Australian Championships in Brisbane.[5]

He his spare time, Alwyn collects his thoughts through the medium of poetry, and enjoys participating in fantasy football, where he is often jeered due to his lack of contribution on forum chats. Currently he’s coaching a world class athlete by the name of Ebuka Okpala who wants to take his talents to the Tokyo 2020 Summer Olympics. Got a long way to go from his 15.53m personal best, but with his coaching, determination, and “tip-top” body condition I feel as though there is “no doubt he can take his talents to the next level”
