Amblyrhynchotes honckenii

Amblyrhynchotes honckenii (Bloch, 1785), known as the evileye pufferfish, evileye puffer or evileye blaasop, is a species of fish on the genus Amblyrhynchotes.[1]

It is native to the Indo-West Pacific,[1] from South Africa to China,[2] and was first described by Marcus Elieser Bloch in 1785.[2] It is classed as being of "Least Concern" on the IUCN Red List.[3]

Its flesh is poisonous to humans and other animals.[1]
