Amy Voce

Voce is best known for her on-air work with Sam Pinkham, presenting the Sam and Amy breakfast show on Gem 106 (formerly Heart East Midlands) for eleven years.[1] The programme won two Gold Radio Academy Awards (2013 & 2014), Gold at the 2015 Arqiva Commercial Radio Awards[2] and Silver at the 2016 ARIAS.[3] The duo have also presented cover shows for BBC Radio 2[4] and Magic.

Amy Voce is an English broadcaster.

Originally from Leicester, Voce attended Beauchamp College and Nottingham Trent University, began her radio career as a traffic reporter, before progressing to drivetime and weekend breakfast shows for Heart East Midlands (now Gem 106) and in 2006, the flagship weekday breakfast show.[5]

On television, Voce has presented specials for Chilled TV and Now Music TV.[6] From August 2015 to September 2017, the 'Sam and Amy' show for Gem 106 was simulcast live on local television channel Notts TV. Away from broadcasting, Voce is also an events host and has written for publications including Reveal Magazine and Sound Women UK. She also co-presents a podcast, Two Non Blondes, alongside Gem 106 presenter Jennie Longdon.

On 29 September 2017, Voce and Pinkham left Gem 106[7] to join national DAB station Virgin Radio UK to present its weekday breakfast show between Monday 2 October 2017 and 18 January 2019.[8] She currently presents a late-night programme on the station as well as being a presenter on Q Live. Amy became a radio presenter at the age of 16 when she joined KISS FM to host Saturdays 9am-1pm and Sundays 7pm-9pm. She left in 2003 to host Heart London Saturday and Sunday overnights from 1-5am and in 2005 started hosting Fridays 10pm-1am and Sundays 10pm-12am. As a result, she left the overnight show. She left on 8 April 2007 after it was announced on 11 March. On 22 October 2007 she started hosting on Gem 106. She was meant to host 7-11pm however due to an evening show producer passing away on 21 October. She had to host the early breakfast show from 3am-6am and Saturdays 6am-10am. On 25 December 2008 she co-hosted with Jennie Longdon on Heart London to host a Christmas Day show from 3pm-5pm. On 3 September 2010. Amy announced that she was leaving Gem in December. Her Final show was on 24 December 2010. On 21 March 2011 she joined Talksport to host Weekend Extra time. Her time there was short lived announcing she was leaving on 1 June and her final show on 31 July.
