Andrew Varona
Andrew Varona is an American race car driver.
Early life and education
Andrew Varona was born in Louisiana, and later graduated with an undergraduate degree in Political Science and received his Law Degree in 1997.[1]
Racing career
Varona started his racing career in 2000, and soon won the Monaco Kart Cup. In 2009 he began racing on the Formula Atlantic circuit, and placed first in points for the FARA Open Wheel that year. In 2011 he began racing for Argent Racing on the Le Mans Series. Between 2012 and 2013 Varona placed first in nine races between the ALMS, FARA and A1GP circuits. He continued to race,[2] and performed on the European Le Mans Series circuit in 2018.[1] In 2019 Varona placed first in points for the FP-1 Spring Championship.[3] Varona has also worked as a sportcaster for Mundo Fox.[4]
Andrew Varona and Danny van Dongen – even with a one last race to go – won the 2020 FARA Sport Prototype Championship (Formula and Auto Racing Association).[5]
