Anthony Smellie

Anthony Smellie QC is the Chief Justice of the Cayman Islands.[1][2]

Career

Justice Smellie was appointed a Queen’s Counsel in 1991. Since 1993, he served as a judge in the Cayman Island. He then became the Chief Justice in 1998. Smellie served as Assistant Director of Public Prosecutions in Jamaica. He also served as Solicitor-General and Acting Attorney-General for the Cayman Islands.[3]

In 2018, he was appointed to Bermuda's Court of Appeal.[4]
