Arachnis (plant)

The genus Arachnis, abbreviated as Arach in horticultural trade, (scorpion orchid,[2][3]) is a member of the Orchid family (Orchidaceae), consisting of more than 20 species native to China, India, Southeast Asia, Indonesia, the Philippines, New Guinea, and the Solomon Islands.[1][4]

They generally have long and thin dark green leaves, (which can turn yellow if exposed to sunlight). They are found around 12m above ground on trees in woods and forests, or on rocks near to river banks.[5]
