Aranmanai (film series)
Aranmanai (transl. Palace) is a Indian horror comedy film series directed by Sundar C. that consists of the films, Aranmanai (2014) and Aranmanai 2 (2016).[1][2] A third installment titled as Aranmanai 3 is under pre-production and the fourth installment titled as Aranmanai 4 is set for release in 2021.[3] Hansika Motwani, Kovai Sarala, Manobala, Chithra Lakshmanan who appear in the first film, appear in the second film playing different roles.

Synopsis
The films are not connected with each other. The films revolves around a family arriving at a place that is haunted by supernatural events.
Films
- Aranmanai (2014): A family returns to their hometown to sell their ancestral palace. However, their arrival is marred by supernatural events, and Ravi, a relative of the family, decides to uncover the truth.[4]
- Aranmanai 2 (2016): Murali returns to his ancestral home along with his fiancee as his father lands in a coma under mysterious circumstances. His life takes a turn when he uncovers his family's dark secrets.[5]
