Arin (singer)

Choi Ye-won (born June 18, 1999),[1] better known as the stage name Arin, is a South Korean singer and actress. She is a member of the girl group Oh My Girl[2] and currently is an MC on the South Korean TV show Music Bank.

Early life

Arin attended DongDuk middle school and the Seoul performing arts school.

Career

Oh My Girl and other activities

On April 20, 2015, Arin debuted as a member of Oh My Girl.[3][4] She first performed their debut single on SBS MTV's The Show on April 21.[5][6] On April 2, 2018, Arin debuted in Oh My Girl's first sub-unit, Oh My Girl Banhana.[7] On December 28, 2018 she performed Kissing You with Yeri of Red Velvet, Kei of Lovelyz, Umji of Gfriend, Dahyun of Twice and Yuqi of (G)I-dle.[8] On March 29, 2019, she appeared on The Hit and performed Remember Me with bandmates Hyojung and Jiho.[9] On September 7, 2019, it was announced that Arin would be appearing on XtvN's 최신유행.[10] In August 2019, it was confirmed that Arin would be taking part in Queendom.[11]

In early 2020, Arin starred in the South Korean drama, A Girl's World as Oh Na-ri, alongside Doah of Fanatics.[12] In July 2020, Arin became an MC of Music Bank with Soobin of TXT.[13]

Arin is a model for the South Korean Clothes company, ‘BYC’.[14]
