Armando Broja

Armando Broja (born 10 September 2001) is an Albanian professional footballer who plays as a forward for Vitesse, on loan from Chelsea. Born in England, he represents the Albania national team at international level.

Club career

Chelsea

On 26 February 2020, Broja signed his first professional contract with Premier League side Chelsea after agreeing to a two-year deal.[5] On 8 March 2020, he made his professional debut in a 4–0 home win against Everton after coming on as a substitute in the 86th minute in place of Olivier Giroud.[6]

Vitesse (loan)

On 21 August 2020, he signed for Vitesse on a season-long loan.[7] On 19 September 2020, he scored his first ever league goal in a 2–0 win over Sparta Rotterdam.[8]

International career

Under-19

On 28 May 2019, Broja received a call-up from Albania U19 for the friendly matches against Kosovo U19.[9] On 3 June 2019, Broja made his debut with Albania in the first friendly match against Kosovo after being named in the starting line-up and scored his side's third goal during a 3–1 away win.[10]

Under-21

On 9 June 2019, Broja made his debut with Albania U21 in the friendly match against Wales U21 after coming on as a substitute in the 46th minute in place of Din Sula and scored his side's two goals during a 2–1 home win.[11]

Senior

On 21 May 2019, Broja received a call-up from Albania for a training camp in Durrës, Albania from 21–26 May 2019.[12]

On 7 September 2020 he made his debut in a 1–0 home loss against Lithuania.[13]

Personal life

Broja was born in Slough, England to Albanian parents from Malësia e Madhe, Albania.[14]
