Arun Prasad Mukherjee

Arun Prasad Mukherjee is a former Indian administrator and the former Governor of Mizoram. Dr. Mukherjee, an officer of Indian Police Service became the Director of Central Bureau of Investigation (CBI) and Director General of West Bengal Police.[1] After retirement he became the advisor to Union Home Ministe Indrajit Gupta in 1997.[2] Mukherjee was appointed as Governor of Mizoram on 29 January 1998 and served till 1 May 1998.[3] Mukherjee is also an author known for his academic pursuit. In 2017 he was awarded Banga Bibhusan by the Government of West Bengal.[4][5]
