Politics involvement

Controversies

On 21st January 2021, Azwan Ali was summoned by the Royal Malaysia Police for the investigation of a viral video clip allegedly trivialising the proclamation of Emergency by the Yang di-Pertuan Agong. The investigation was conducted by the Special Investigation Unit (D5) under Section 504 of the Penal Code and Section 233 of the Communication and Multimedia Act[5]

On 19th March 2020 Azwan Ali had uploaded a video insulting the staff of Putrajaya Hospital. He was charged on 27th March 2020 and was ordered to pay RM17,000 as fine which he had paid immediately. Azwan Ali also mentioned: duit aku berkepuk-kepuk, berkepuk-kepuk, berkepuk-kepuk (English: I have many many many money) when being asked by reporters on the fine imposed.
