BET Her Award

In the BET Awards, the BET Her Award recognizes neo soul and/or traditional R&B artists. Until 2012, artists were nominated; in 2013 BET began recognizing artists with their respective songs. The award was first awarded in 2006 as the BET J Cool Like That Award. The name of the award was changed when BET J was rebranded as Centric in 2009 and again in 2018 when Centric was rebranded as BET Her. Beyonce is the most awarded artist in this category with 2 wins (2016, 2020).
