Baazi (2021 film)

Baazi (Eng: Challenge) is an upcoming Indian Bengali-language action thriller film directed by Anshuman Pratyush and produced by Jeet, Gopal Madnani and Amit Jumrani under the banner of Jeetz Filmworks Pvt. Ltd. The film starring Jeet and Mimi Chakraborty is an official remake of 2016 Telugu film Nannaku Prematho. The film shot in London was wrapped up in November 2020.[2] The story of the film revolves around a man (Jeet), who has to take revenge for his father (Abhishek Chatterjee) to give him new life.[3]

Synopsis

This is a revenge story, where a son takes revenge for his father. A con man cheats an entrepreneur and takes his wealth. The man is suffering from a terminal disease and wants his son to take revenge for him. The son goes to London to seek revenge from the person, who is now rich and powerful. He befriends his daughter to approach him.

Baazi was announced in February 2020, a remake of 2016 Telugu film Nannaku Prematho with Jeet and Mimi Chakraborty as leading pair.[5] The first shot of the film was taken in February 2020.[6] The filming in London was suspended in March 2020 due to COVID-19 pandemic and production team returned to India.[7] The filming was resumed on 10 October 2020, after lockdown due to the pandemic.[8] The film is set to be released in 2021.[9]
