Legend

The Barnwal community claim to be descended from King Ahibaran, a Suryavanshi Kshatriya, who is assumed to be the great-grandson of the legendary king Agrasen.[1][2] At present, they are a part of the Bania community and mostly reside in the regions of Etawah, Azamgarh, Gorakhpur and Ghazipur.[1][3]
