Barbara Rosenblat

Barbara Rosenblat (born 17 July 1950) is a British actress and voice artist.

She is a narrator of audiobooks. She has also appeared on screen such as in the Netflix original series Orange Is the New Black as Miss Rosa.

Early life

Rosenblat was born in London, England and raised in New York City.[1] She attended a Hebrew school as a child.[1]

Career

After returning to London for a family wedding, she decided to stay and discover her birthplace.[1] Soon afterwards, she landed a part in a production of Godspell.[1] She would go on to work more in theater and in various entertainment fields in the UK, such as radio, film and television.[2]

Upon returning to the US, she read books to the blind for four years at the Library of Congress.[2]

On Broadway she appeared in The Secret Garden and Talk Radio.[2][3]
