The school operates a two-year, Key Stage 3 where all the core National Curriculum subjects are taught allowing more time to prepare for exams.. Year 7 and Year 8 study core subjects: English, Mathematics, Science. The following foundation subjects are offered: Art & Design, Computing, Design & Technology, Drama, Ethics & Life Skills PSHE & RE, French, German, Geography and History, Music and PE.[3]
For Key Stage 4 Bay Leadership Academy offers GCSEs, BTECs and City and Guilds courses as programmes of study for pupils. Students in the sixth form Key Stage 5 have the option to study from a range of A-levels and further BTECs.
