Bharat Institute of Technology is a private college in Meerut, Uttar Pradesh, India offering courses in engineering, pharmacy, computer applications and management. The college was founded in 2001 and is affiliated to Dr. A.P.J. Abdul Kalam Technical University.[1]

Campus

The campus is located 8 km from Meerut on the NH-58 Meerut-Delhi bypass. It is 52 km from New Delhi. The campus is also close to other educational institutions such as the Meerut Institute of Technology, Kalka Group of Institution, CERT (College of Engineering and & Technology and Dewan V.S Group of Institutions.

The inside of the campus has various gardens, lawns, residential complexes and wide roads. The campus has its own water supply and backup electricity supply along with a large open cafeteria where students and staff can enjoy their leisure time.

AKTU Zonal Level Team-2019

College Team are Good Performance in AKTU Games till State Level. Football, volleyball, basketball, and athletics Team are Good Performance in AKTU Zonal Level. BIT College Dr.APJ Abdul Kalam University of Technology Plays quite well in the Zonal level play. Won 105 Medals at the 2018 Zonal Games, and in 2019 Zonal Khelo, the College Won 93 medals.

The institute offers a 4-years full-time B.Pharm affiliated to Dr. A.P.J. Abdul Kalam Technical University and approved by AICTE & Pharmacy Council of India.[3]

The institute offers a 2-years full-time master in computer application (MCA) affiliated to State Technical University[1] approved by AICTE with an intake of 60.

School of Management

The school offers a 2 Years, Full-Time Master of Business Administration affiliated to Dr. A.P.J Abdul Kalam Technical University and approved by AICTE with an intake of 120.[5][6]

The program aims at providing input to the students relevant to business, industry and trade so that they can function in different organizations and face challenges. The program also aims to provide input necessary for overall development of the personality of the students. The program offers specialization in marketing, finance, IT and human resource with a system of dual specialization.[5]

Extra-curricular activities

The institute encourages extra curricular activities among students for all round development in Abhivyakti (Cultural Events), Technoutsav (Technical Events), Sahityakriti (Literary Events) and Josh (Sports Events). These events have seen increased participation of students from across the state.[7]

Technical Organisations

BIT ACM Student Chapter

The Association for Computing Machinery is an educational and scientific society which works with the motto of "Advancing Computing as a Science and Profession". The BIT ACM Student Chapter was established in 2017 to address the needs of the BIT computing community. The goal of the chapter is to create interest among the students for computer science, apart from what they learn during the course work. The chapter organised workshops and talks on different subjects by speakers who are well known in their area. These talks give students opportunities to explore more about advanced research subjects. Apart from these, some non-technical activities are also organised.

The Institute has academic collaborations with the best known industries of the world such as Dell EMC, Oracle, VMware, Bentley, Cisco, Redhat, Palo Alto Networks, Amazon and CompTIA to train students and provide them an industry level experience.
