Bhuwan K.C. (Nepali: भुवन केसीListen , born: 17 August 1958) is a Nepalese singer, actor, director, producer, and filmmaker known for his work in the Nepalese entertainment industry. One of the biggest film actors in 1980s, 1990s and 2000s, he is considered as one of the most influential personality in the history of Nepalese cinema. One of the most commercially successful and critically acclaimed actor in Nepalese Cinema ever. He is known for romantic, family and social message driven movies and he has several Industry Hits to his name . He started his career as a singer for Radio Nepal[1] with songs such as "Mayalu timi tadha" (the first music video in Nepal). His debut movie was Juni (1981). 1982 release Samjhana helped him gain recognition to establish him as a successful actor in Nepal. He has delivered blockbuster hits from movies like industry hits Kusume Rumal (1983), Santaan (1987), Tilhari (1988), Kanyadan (1990), Industry Hit Chino (1990), Trishna (1991), Dui Thopa Ashu (1993), Dakshina (1994), Raanko (1995) Karodpati (1997), Nepali Babu (1999) and Superstar (2003). He directed Dreams, Starring his son Anmol K.C. equally successful like him in the lead role.[2]

Film career
Bhuwan acted in the film Samjhana in 1982 which was a commercially successful movie of the Nepali Film Industry which helped him to start his film career. After the success of Samjhana he started working in Nepali cinema with people such as Udit Narayan and many others. He later worked with Nepalese singers and film actors such as Danny Denzongpa, Udit Narayan , Nikhil Upreti and Jharana Thapa.
Later in his film career Bhuwan has also appeared in movies like Birasat, Mr.Nepali. [3]

Singing career
Bhuwan KC originally had started his career as a singer with his songs like "Mayalu Timi Tadha (First Music Video of Nepal)" which gained him recognition.[6]
