Birdz (rapper)
Nathan Bird, known professionally as Birdz, is an Australian rapper and singer. He is an Indigenous Australian man with Butchulla, Juru, and Nguburinji heritage.[2][1]

Early life
Bird was born in Rockhampton in North Queensland, but grew up in the small town of Katherine in the Northern Territory. He studied at the University of Queensland and the University of Melbourne.[3]
Career
Birdz began his music career in 2013. He released his debut album Train of Thought in 2017, which included features from Jimblah and Caiti Baker.[4] He has released more singles since then, including collaborations with Omar Musa and Ecca Vandal in 2018.[5]
In 2020 Birdz released the single "Bagi-la-m Bargan" (featuring Fred Leone), a retelling of James Cook's 1770 arrival in Australia from the perspective of Aboriginal Australians, which was co-written with Trials for the NITV documentary Looky Looky Here Comes Cooky.[6][7]
