Bob Crowell

Robert Lamson Crowell (November 28, 1945 – September 12, 2020) was an American attorney and politician. He was elected mayor of Carson City, Nevada in 2008, and served from January 5, 2009 until his death.[2] He was a member of the Democratic Party.

Crowell earned a bachelor's degree from Stanford University in 1967 and a J.D. from Hastings College of the Law in 1973.[3] He served in the Vietnam War before retiring from the U.S. Navy as a captain.[4]

Crowell ran unopposed in the 2012 election, guaranteeing his second, four-year term.[5] Under Nevada state law, uncontested elections are not included on the ballot.[6]

Crowell died at a VA hospital in Reno, Nevada on September 12, 2020, at age 74.[4]
