Bohora

Bohara (Nepali: बोहरा) or Bohora (Nepali: बोहोरा) or Bohara (Nepali: बोहरा) is a Brahmin (bahun) and [[Chhetri] surname of Khas community of Nepal.[1] Bohara belonged to Thar Ghar aristocracy group which assisted the rulers of Gorkha Kingdom.[2] In western Nepal, Bohara title is in use from Katyuri Kingdom of Doti, joshimath and Askot by the kshatriyas, at the time of old Feudal kingdom system of around 12th century ( also known as Jamindari Pratha). Largerly, Bohara title is Used by Chhetri community. Some janajati(Sauka) and baahuns and Dalits also use this surname. This surname is also found in Brahmins of Himachal, Uttar Pradesh, Uttarakhand state of India.
