Bokutachi no Remake

Bokutachi no Remake (ぼくたちのリメイク, Bokutachi no Rimeiku, "Remake Our Life!") is a Japanese light novel series written by Nachi Kio and illustrated by Eretto. Media Factory have published eight volumes and two spin-off volumes since March 2017 under their MF Bunko J imprint. A manga adaptation with art by Bonjin Hirameki has been serialized via Kodansha's Niconico-based Suiyōbi no Sirius manga service since November 2018. It has been collected in four tankōbon volumes. An anime television series adaptation is scheduled to air in 2021.

Synopsis

The story centers on the unsuccessful game director Kyōya Hashiba. His company goes bankrupt, and he ends up returning to his parents' home. He lies in bed thinking about the successful creators of his generation. When he opens his eyes, Kyōya finds that he has gone back in time 10 years to when he started college. He has an opportunity to remake his life, starting as an arts college student. He now lives in a four-person coed share house. Kyōya has the chance to spend his formative years with creators he knows will be famous in the future, but things might not turn out as he expected.

Anime

An anime adaptation was announced on December 20, 2019,[1] which was revealed to be a television series on November 25, 2020. The series is set to premiere in 2021.[2]

Reception

The light novel series ranked sixth in 2018 and seventh in 2019 in Takarajimasha's annual light novel guide book Kono Light Novel ga Sugoi!, in the bunkobon category.[1][3][4]
