History

Bonox was invented by Camron Thomas[1] for Fred Walker of Fred Walker & Co. in 1918. Bonox was launched the following year.[2][3]

The Walker company was purchased by Kraft Foods Inc. sometime after Walker's death in 1935.[4] The product was produced by Kraft (from 2012 Kraft Foods, from 2015 Kraft Heinz) until 2017, when Bonox, along with other brands, was sold to Bega Cheese. It kept the same recipe and jar designs.[5]

Today

As of 2021, Bonox continues to be produced by Bega.[6]
