Boris Bobrovnikov

Boris Bobrovnikov (born October 29, 1960) is a founder and Chief Executive Officer of the IT firm JSC CROC incorporated.[1] He started studying in Moscow Geological Exploration Institute in 1978.,[2] graduating in 1982 and obtaining a PhD in Engineering in 1984[3]

Career and public activities

In 1992, he founded CROC, an international IT company that provides a comprehensive range of IT solutions, including systems integration and managed B2B and consulting services. Under his management CROC started offering off-the-shelf products and end-to-end technologies, such as Big Data, blockchain, artificial intelligence, virtual and augmented reality, Internet of Things, robotics, and machine learning in 40 countries. The company also provides cloud and data center services based on its own data centers.[4][5][6][7]

On April 29, 2003, he introduced IT Leader, Russia’s first IT industry national award for organizations and CIOs who directly contributed to the promotion of innovative information technology in Russia.[8]

In November 2016, he took part in Dell EMC Forum 2016[9] after the merger of Dell and EMC.

On June 20, 2017, as part of the business agenda of the ninth international forum, ATOMEXPO 2017, he spoke at the round table on artificial intelligence and robotics development, global economy digitalization.[10]

In June 2019, he joined the St. Petersburg International Economic Forum and, as part of the session on Corporate Investment Strategies in the Digital Economy, spoke about his company’s international business development, accelerator launch for the Persian Gulf market, and innovative projects in the UAE.[11]
