Bovina is a town in Outagamie County, Wisconsin, United States. At the 2000 census, the town had a total population of 1,130. The village of Shiocton is located within the town.

According to the United States Census Bureau, the town has a total area of 33.7 square miles (87.4 km2), of which, 33.7 square miles (87.2 km2) of it is land and 0.1 square miles (0.2 km2) of it (0.18%) is water.

Demographics

At the 2000 census, there were 1,130 people, 386 households and 313 families residing in the town. The population density was 33.6 per square mile (13.0/km2). There were 414 housing units at an average density of 12.3 per square mile (4.7/km2). The racial makeup of the town was 97.70% White, 0.27% African American, 0.27% Native American, 0.09% Asian, 0.71% from other races, and 0.97% from two or more races. Hispanic or Latino of any race were 2.39% of the population.

There were 386 households, of which 36.5% had children under the age of 18 living with them, 72.5% were married couples living together, 4.7% had a female householder with no husband present, and 18.9% were non-families. 15.3% of all households were made up of individuals, and 6.0% had someone living alone who was 65 years of age or older. The average household size was 2.83 and the average family size was 3.14.

27.3% of the population were under the age of 18, 6.3% from 18 to 24, 33.1% from 25 to 44, 23.4% from 45 to 64, and 10.0% who were 65 years of age or older. The median age was 36 years. For every 100 females, there were 116.9 males. For every 100 females age 18 and over, there were 116.3 males.

The median household income was $54,453 and the median family income was $57,083. Males had a median income of $39,476 and females $25,962. The per capita income was $19,102. About 1.3% of families and 1.7% of the population were below the poverty line, including 0.3% of those under age 18 and 7.8% of those age 65 or over.
