Bracken County High School

Bracken County High School is located in Brooksville, Kentucky and is part of the Bracken County school district. The school was founded as Brooksville High School. In 1947 the school changed names to Bracken County High School.

Boys sports

The BCHS boys sports teams include basketball, baseball, cross country running, football, tennis, and track and field.

Memorable athletes include:

  • Austin Crawford - Austin scored 3,000+ points and had 1,000+ rebounds in his varsity career, making him the highest scorer in Bracken County history.

Girls sports

The BCHS girls sports teams include basketball, cross country running, fast-pitch softball, tennis, track and field, volleyball, and cheerleading.

Memorable athletes include:

  • Katelyn Meyer (teacher/coach at Bracken County Middle school) previously played at Thomas More College (Softball) and Kentucky Christian University (Basketball)
  • Sara Sticklen - Current softball coach at Bracken. Previously played basketball at Asbury University.
  • Emma Conley - Emma holds the highest batting average record at Bracken (.560). Plays softball at Kentucky Christian University.
  • Bailey Cummins - Bailey holds the record for most points scored in a game, as well as career points as a Varsity Lady Bears.
