Braxton Mitchell

Braxton Mitchell (born c.2000)[1] is an American politician serving as a member of the Montana House of Representatives from the 3rd district. Elected in 2020, he assumed office on January 4, 2021.

Early life and education

Mitchell was born in Columbia Falls, Montana and attended Flathead Valley Community College.[2]

Career

Mitchell has worked for his family's business in Flathead County, Montana. In 2020, he announced his candidacy for the 3rd district of the Montana House of Representatives. Mitchell did not face an opponent in the Republican primary and defeated incumbent Democrat Debo Powers in the November general election. Upon assuming office on January 4, 2021, Mitchell became one of the youngest members of the Montana House.[3][4]
