In the Philippines, Brigadier General (Philippine Army, Philippine Air Force, Philippine Marines and Philippine Constabulary)/ Commodore (Philippine Navy and Philippine Coast Guard)/Chief Superintendent(Bureau of Fire Protection and Bureau of Jail Management and Penology) / Police Brigadier General (Before: Chief Superintendent) (Philippine National Police)/ Heneral ng Brigada (Spanish: General de Brigada/Gral. de Brigada) (Philippine Revolutionary Army)[1] is the lowest rank of generals but already eligible in the promotion to become PC Chief of Philippine Constabulary,[2] Chief of Staff of the Armed Forces of the Philippines[3] or PNP Chief of the Philippine National Police[4] surpassing the Major General and Lieutenant General ranks.[5]
