Callum Chick

Callum Chick (born 25 November 1996) is an English rugby union player who competes for Newcastle Falcons in the Aviva Premiership. His preferred position is Flanker.

Club career

Chick joined Newcastle Falcons academy at just 12 years old, also playing youth rugby for amateur side Ponteland RFC. A successful player at youth level, Chick played for England's U16, U18 and U20 sides. A 2016 World Rugby Under 20 Championship tournament win with England U20, a high point of a successful youth career. Chick scoring a try in the final.[1][2]

Chick signed his first professional contract with Newcastle Falcons at the conclusion of the 2014/2015 season.[3] From there he went on to captain the Falcon's Rugby Sevens side. Chick made his Aviva Premiership debut on 28 October 2016, against Wasps,[4] going on to make 15 starts in all competitions in the 2016/2017 Falcons season.[5] On 24 February 2018, Chick scored his first Aviva Premiership try after coming off the bench, in a Newcastle away win at Harlequins.[6]
