Caloplaca luteominia

Caloplaca luteominia subspecies bolanderi (ruby firedot) is an endolithic lichen, a crustose lichen that grows inside rock, between the grains, with only the ruby red fruiting bodies exposed to the air.[1] It is in the Teloschistaceae family.
