Canterbury Magicians

The Canterbury Magicians are a New Zealand women's cricket team that plays domestic cricket in the Hallyburton Johnstone Shield one-day competition and the Burger King Super Smash Twenty20 competition. Historically they have been strong, with runs of 9 and 11 consecutive New Zealand titles through the 80s and 90s.[1] They competed in women's competitions since before the Hallyburton Johnstone Shield.[1][2]

In the 2016–17 season the Magicians won the one-day trophy over the Auckland Hearts after losing the Twenty20 final to the Otago Sparks.[3]
