Background
After the closure of famous cartoon magazine Shankar's Weekly, young cartoonist Triambak Sharma started monthly cartoon magazine Cartoon Watch in 1996. The inaugural issue was launched on 5 December 1996. Cartoon Watch is a monthly magazine published on the 15th day of every month, focussing on political and social themes. Every issue carries editorial cartoons, humorous interviews of eminent people and cartoons of eminent cartoonists from every corner of India. Cartoon Watch conducted a Cartoon Exhibition in London in 2008.[1] Limca Book of Records has included Cartoon Watch as the 'Only bilingual cartoon monthly' [2]

International Award
Cartoon Watch has Instituted International Award in 2019 at Limoges, Saint Just Le Martel, France, during 38th Saint Just Le Martel Cartoon Festival 2019. Triambak Sharma, Editor of Cartoon Watch presented Life Time Awards to Five cartoonists on 29 September 2019.

Man of the Year
Cartoon Watch has introduced Man of the Year recognition from 2020.
Elon Musk has been declared as Man of the Year for 2020. [4]
