Charles Seymour (cricketer)
Charles Read Seymour (6 February 1855 - 6 November 1934) was an English cricketer. Seymour was a right-handed batsman.

The son of Reverend Charles Frederic Seymour, Rector of Winchfield, Seymour was educated at Harrow, and was later educated at Merton College, Oxford, where he took his B.A. in 1877.
Seymour made his first-class debut for the Marylebone Cricket Club in 1879 against Lancashire. This was the only first-class match Seymour played for the club.
In 1880 Seymour made his first-class debut for Hampshire against the Marylebone Cricket Club. In 1882 Seymour made his maiden first-class half century against Somerset, with a score of 57. In 1883 Seymour followed this up with his second half century, which yielded him his highest first-class score of 77*. From 1880 to 1885 Seymour represented Hampshire in fifteen first-class matches, with his final first-class match for Hampshire coming against Derbyshire in 1885, which was Hampshire's final season with first-class status until the 1895 County Championship. In his fifteen matches for the club, Frederick scored 485 runs at a batting average of 17.32, with two half centuries and a high score of 77*.
Following Hampshire's loss of first-class status, Seymour continued to represent the county until 1888, with his final match for the county coming against Sussex.
Seymour died at Winchester, Hampshire on 6 November 1934.
Family
Seymour's brother-in-law Bernhard Bentinck represented Hampshire in two first-class matches.
