Chen Pao-yu

General Chen Pao-yu (Chinese: 陳寶餘; born 1958) is a Taiwan army appointed as the Chief of the Army Staff Taiwan since April 2019 and deputy chief of the General Staff of the Taiwan Armed Forces. Prior to his appointment, he was deputy chief of other army staff in April 2017 to 2019.[1]

Born in Lienchiang County, Fujian Province, ROC, he graduated from Chinese Military Academy in 1980 and also attend an Infantry Captain course in Army Command and Staff Course including Taiwan War College.

He commands 295th de, head of Army S3, Commanding General 6th army, Commanding General of Hualien Defense mand and Head of J3, Commanding General of the 10th Army before being deputy chief of the Army and Executive deputy chief of the Army Staff.[2][3][4]
