Cheng You Qing (程又青) is the main character of In Time with You (Chinese: 我可能不會愛你; literally "I might not love you"), a 2011 Taiwanese romance drama written by Xu Yu Ting (徐譽庭) and directed by Winnie Chu (瞿友寧). She is played by Ariel Lin.

Plot synopsis

The drama begins with Cheng You Qing's 30th birthday. She makes a bet with her best friend since high school, Li Da Ren (李大仁), that she will marry before he does. Whoever loses the bet will have to pay the other NT$100,000 at the wedding.

As the drama progresses, it becomes clear that Cheng You Qing is a headstrong and sometimes domineering character who frequently insists on having things her way. She was the class president in high school, and is now the manager of a department store shoe department, and does not always get along well with her coworkers. Her family and friends also frequently accuse her of being too stubborn; however, she is actually very caring at heart, protective of her loved ones and gracious even to those who are unkind to her. Despite her strong exterior, she is sensitive to getting hurt. She is worried about becoming a spinster, and is not yet fully over an intense and unpleasant relationship she had five years ago with Ding Li Wei (丁立威), who cheated on her. In these moments, she tends to confide in Li Da Ren, who reassures her.

When Ding Li Wei returns and tries to pursue her again, Cheng You Qing is unable to resist his advances. He insists that he has repented of his behavior and loves only her. He makes multiple attempts to propose to her, but she manages to skirt the issue until the end. She still has many misgivings, but resigns herself to marrying him. It is only later that she discovers that he has been cheating on her again, even during their engagement. Around the same time, she finds out that Li Da Ren has been in love with her for many years. To clear her head, she decides to take some time off to travel the world.

When Cheng You Qing returns to Asia, she and Li Da Ren begin a relationship. The two end up marrying each other very happily, still best friends.
