Discharged at the peak of Live Aid-era goodwill, Chumbawamba's debut LP, "Pictures of Starving Children Sell Records" showed up in 1986, brutally assaulting the standards of the media spotlight and career-boosting they perceived at the heart of the charitable occasion. "Never Mind the Ballots" was rush-released in 1987 to coincide with the year's common decisions, whereas the 1989 follow-up EP, "English Rebel Songs 1381–1984", comprised basically of bona fide 14th-century anti-poll assess dissent tunes. With 1993's anti-fascism tirade "Sufficient Is Sufficient", Chumbawamba scored their greatest indie hit to date, and 1994's "Anarchy" LP was moreover a victory. After the 1995 live LP "Showbusiness!", the gather returned the following year with "Swingin' with Raymond", a concept collection approximately a man with the word "Cherish" inked on the knuckles of one hand and "Despise" inked on the other.
A few years later, it was reported that Chumbawamba had signed to EMI, a move that irritated and befuddled numerous fans who subscribed to the band's anti-corporation beliefs. All things considered, their 1997 major-label debut, "Tubthumper", got to be a crushing victory much obliged to the irresistible "Tubthumping", a top-ten hit within the U.S. and all through Europe. A follow-up single, "Amnesia" was also a success. Within the spring of 2000, the band released a follow-up "WYSIWYG". Stressed almost the open response to the verses, which were basic of huge commerce and the media, EMI chose to drop the band. The band was abnormally calm for a period, but executive Alex Cox before long drawn nearer them around scoring "Revengers Tragedy" and they bounced at the chance. A narrative almost the band, Well Done, Presently Grass Off!, showed up in 2001. They returned in 2002 for a get-together appear and discharged "Readymades" that summer, taken after by a moment squeezing of the collection in October 2003 by means of Koch Records. Following up on the discharge program was "Shhh"!, which compiled the early Chumba discharges "Shhh" and "Slap!", and June 2004 saw the entry of the UN, which built on the folkloric sound of "Readymades" and was as ideologically feisty as ever.
The band marked the "No Experts" Cooperative and issued a stripped-down acoustic collection called "A Singsong and a Scrap". Discharged in 2006, the collection deserted the electronic, clubby sound of the band's past work and centered instep on lavish vocal harmonies and conventional Irish people rebellious. Chumbawamba at that point discharged their second collection with "No Masters" Co-operative in 2007, a similarly stripped-down issue called "Get on with It: Live" and returned in 2008 with a folk-based studio exertion titled "The Boy Bands Have Won". They discharged their last studio collection "ABCDEFG" in 2010.
