Coat of arms of Omsk Oblast
The coat of arms is a symbol of the Omsk Oblast, Russia adopted 29 May 2003.[1] Its authors are Igor Vahitov, Albert Karimov and Oleg Nikitin.
Description
The coat of arms of Omsk Oblast is quadrangular with rounded lower corners, pointed at the tip of a heraldic shield in the white box which is a gold cross, burdened with wavy azure post and escorted each of the eight corners of the small green pyramids; on top of everything, in the heart of the shield, with five red bastionsshown above, filled with silver, gold castle with arch in the center.
Exterior decoration full coat of arms of the Omsk region are golden oak branches, intertwined with Alexander ribbon and gold stylized old Russian imperial crown, crowning the shield.
Description and justification of symbolism
In accordance with heraldic norms and historical traditions of the following main elements of the coat of arms of Omsk region:
- "Honor figure of" the emblem of the Omsk region is a golden cross - the symbol of Christian virtues: faith, justice, mercy, he also points to the fact that Omsk Region is located in the geographical center of Russia and acts as a link between East and West, between North and South of the country . Grasp (the horizontal part of the cross) symbolizes the Trans-Siberian Railway, which gave impetus to the economic development of the Omsk region. The gold color - a symbol of power, stability, strength, wealth.
- Wavy azure post, burdening the vertical part of the cross, illustrates the relationship of the North and the South by water on the river Irtysh. Azure - a symbol of beauty, majesty, gentleness.
- To express the administrative center of the area in the heart of the shield placed chervlёnaya fortress with five bastions with golden arch in the middle - it outlines the Omsk fortress, founded in 1716, and Tara gates, erected as a fortification. - White field shield is a symbol of purity of thought, nobility, justice, generosity, and points to the climatic features of Siberia - its endless expanse of snow.
