Columbus College (South Dakota)

Columbus College was a private Catholic college that operated in South Dakota from 1909 to 1929. The school opened in 1909 in Chamberlain, South Dakota as all-male prep school, high school, and college. In 1921, Columbus College was relocated to Sioux Falls, South Dakota. Columbus College closed in 1929 due to financial difficulties.[1][2]

The athletic teams at Columbus were known as the Mariners and competed in the South Dakota Intercollegiate Conference.[3]
