Coral Square is a regional enclosed shopping mall in Coral Springs, Florida. The mall is anchored by 2 Macy's locations, JCPenney, and Kohl's, along with 120 shops and eateries. Simon Property Group, who owns 97.2% of it, also manages the mall.

History
Opened in October 1984, the mall was originally anchored by Burdines (opened September 16), Lord & Taylor (opened October 1), and JCPenney (opened October 3, along with the mall). A fourth anchor, Jordan Marsh joined the mall on August 24, 1985. The mall is almost identical to Boynton Beach Mall, in which they opened in that same year. The opening of Lord & Taylor was also likewise done at Miami International Mall as well. Another mini-wing came along with Sears as a fifth anchor, on November 15, 1989. This brought the store count at the mall up to over 120 stores and the amount of anchor stores to five. No other mall in Broward County had five anchors at the time except for The Galleria at Fort Lauderdale.
Store consolidations and acquisitions have varied the anchor line-up over the years. First, Lord & Taylor was sold to Mervyn's in 1991 and Jordan Marsh was converted into Burdines men's, children's, and home also at the time. With the opening of Pembroke Lakes Mall in 1992, the mall now had the same anchor lineup as Miami International Mall and was first renovated in 1995, but has never been expanded aside from the additions of Jordan Marsh and Sears. Mervyn's pulled out of Florida and Georgia in 1997, thus the location became Dillard's, and 9 others in Florida were also included. Dillard's had its only area stores at Galleria and Pembroke Lakes at that time, followed by The Mall at Wellington Green in 2001. Then, Burdines merged with Macy's in 2003, so the two stores at the mall simply rebranded as Macy's in 2005. The mall also got another renovation in late 2008. Just like Miami International Mall, a Kohl's store opened in the Dillard's building on September 28, 2011. In many of these aspects, the mall developed a similar fashion to Boynton Beach and Miami International malls.
On November 26, 2016, a shop owner shot and wounded an employee, then turned the gun on himself and killed himself.[3] Coral Springs Fire Department took the wounded to a nearby hospital, where they were expected to be ok. The mall was closed for the morning then reopened later in the afternoon with heavily armed Coral Springs Police Officers.
On February 8, 2020, it was announced that Sears would be closing as part of a plan to close 39 stores nationwide. The store closed in April 2020.[4] A contract with Round 1 Entertainment is pending as well, as with Pembroke Lakes Mall.
