Corporación Multi Inversiones (CMI) is a multinational agro-industrial corporation based in Guatemala.[1] The firm was founded as a family business by Juan Bautista Gutierrez[2] in the 1920s.

CMI is often described as the only Central American firm with a global reach, doing business as far as Indonesia.

CMI currently comprises over 300 companies and now accounts for more than 45,000 employees,[3] operating in 14 countries within seven divisions:

1. Flour mill business unit under the name Molino Excelsior. The main focus of this business unit is to develop the wheat and cereal value chain by producing wheat and corn flour, pasta, cookies and crackers.[4]
2. Poultry and processed meats, which produces and distributes poultry, pork products and animal foods;
3. Fast food, which includes Pollo Campero, a fried chicken fast food chain with more than 335 restaurants in 11 countries;[5]
4. Real estate, which develops and builds housing projects, office buildings and shopping malls;[6]
5. Finance, which includes banking and financial services; and
6. Infrastructure, which is involved with hydroelectric power generation plants.
7. Telecommunications, where they own 40% of the operations of Movistar in Guatemala, El Salvador, Nicaragua and Panamá after closing a deal for $500 million US dollars.[7]
