Creality gained recognition when the Ender 3 budget 3D printer was released in March 2018.[2] In July 2018, Creality released the Ender 3 printer into the open source domain, including the release of all hardware specifications, CAD files, board schematics and firmware files.[3] The Ender 3 has been dubbed as an affordable 3D printer option for hobby use.[4][5][6]
